opinions please

I've not posted here, and I'm honestly not sure how active this community is. But I'm here, waiting to have someone else poke out and say hi.

I'm also hoping for feedback. I am pagan, and I have started my own website for the items I make. I believe that choice is very important in many items pagans/witches use in their ceremonies and prayers, and therefore have allowed people to pick color, fragrance, and many other options in candles. I also make incense, soap, and other things.

Thing is that I would like opinions on my website. My partner and I have created it, and are still working on it. We will be changing prices and such as it was intended to include shipping. Anyway, if you have a moment, please check it out.

the address is www.applestonenaturals.com

Hi there!

The site looks pretty good! My one suggestion would be to add a little bit more on the individual item descriptions. For instance, on incense sticks, something along the lines of: "Our aromatic incense sticks are made from all natural, organic ingredients. These long-lasting sticks are great for just about anything--spells, rituals or merely setting the mood!" This allows you to tell your customer a bit more about what's inside your products (being eco-friendly is such a wonderful selling point with Pagans) as well as hit them with another purchasing pitch.

/used to work in Public Affairs, sorry about the lengthy response ;)

I appreciate your input very much! I want the site to be friendly to everyone, not just the pagan and wiccan communities, but any religion. Even that being said, I'm working with limited space for the entire site. A friend who makes pagan/wiccan jewelery will hopefully be joining the site soon.

And your reponse wasn't lengthy at all. I'm a wordy person too.

May I add you as a friend?

*poke* Welcome to the group. The site looks good, though one thing I might do is test it out on several types of browsers to see if things work well on IE, Mozilla, Netscape, Seamonkey, etc. I use Seamonkey and found it a bit slow though when I tried it on IE it appeared quicker.

We only have IE, so this is great feed back. We have an idea to resize some of the images in order to speed it up.

Thank you for your input!

the request to add you as a friend was me, I didn't add it in correctly. May I?

Feel free:)

Seamonkey is a free download as is Mozilla. You can find Seamonkey here: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/

Mozilla is the older version of Seamonkey ... often when I make or edit my own sites I check them in IE because I don't use it as a standard browser.

may I also add you as a friend? I'm stuck in Billy Graham country!
